About

Fist Full of Flowers began by repurposing material solely from existing garments into face masks during lockdown at the height of the pandemic. Now, as paradigms shift and new “normals” emerge, and with a genuine commitment to continued creative focus on what can be reimagined, using new only when absolutely necessary, helping to limit both carbon output and resource depletion, what’s next?

The idea is simple.

With well over 2 billion t-shirts sold every year, using more than an estimated 700 gallons of water to make just one, new (some with tags still attached) or perfectly not new tees fill rack after rack in resale shops before being sent off to landfills or incinerated in already-inundated faraway countries. Upcycled, instead, we’re individually hand-selecting them, seen as the ideal blank canvas to add fresh artwork to, reintroducing what are essential, valuable wardrobe staples back into a still budding, yet thriving new circular economy. Yay!

Please note: All items are pre-washed with maximum love and shipped via minimal, sometimes inventively recycled packaging.
